I'll bet you expect a coherent character history, hmm? Not likely. :) Darkstalker, true to his name, is forever chasing after shadows, myths, and other things hidden from the light of day... and of the more revealing light of truth. If you'd like to ask him about his history or personal habits, ask -- he might pay some attention to you. Or ask someone who knows him, since he's not often easily found. What is known is that he's the Sha'cri of the Tenebrae, a tribe that makes their home in the southern jungles, and that he's a close affiliate of the Venator, in the past having spent much time in the Village. To the Venator, he's a familiar sight. To many of the other tribes, he might have been seen, as he's approached nearly every tribe at least once to speak with their Sha'cri or tribal leaders.
DarkStalker is now deceased, and the story of his death can be found here.
Soon she was chased off by the Mokh that raised her as is also tradition and she found her place in the world. She carved out a piece of territory in the deepest swamps of Crinos where she slowly grew in power as a Mokh. Nearly two-hundred seasons had passed and she still lived, quite an accomplishment for a Mokh. Her territory in the swamps had grown larger than most Mokh and she continued to defend it ferociously. Life passed swiftly as it does for those who have little concept of time and things began to change. At about four hundred seasons Diamondfang began to neglect her territory and it shrank ever down. She began to tire of her constant wandering and battles. She contructed a home of reeds in the center of what was left of her territories and began concentrating on her works of art. Still she was restless and grew disgusted with her tribe. Then the Outlands opened up to her and she left Crinos for quite a long time. She met many people that slowly changed her perceptions of the world. That is when she decided to return and stay in Crinos, to seek out te spirits and learn Sha'crin. She is now what the Mokh call, Len'ar and she is at peace with herself.
Some time after the first Moot, Kilika Three-Eyes fell in combat. She had nearly eclipsed the old record of forty-seven accepted challenges, a holy number of the Brusticai from tales passed down from so long ago that the Ses'Reidla's name who set the mark has long been forgotten. Kilika lasted forty-four.
As Saltare came of age he was given his name by his mother, for he first entered battle with her that day. They fought against the Banes that had come from the outlands the Realm of Sands. Saltare'necar fought fiercely and felled many of the Banes with his own style of combat. His mother called it the deadly dance and therefore named him as thus. Unfortunately his mother was gravely injured in that battle and died not long after. Saltare now has a deadly hatred for anything of the Outlands and vows to slay any he finds. He is often among the Kei that guard the shadowpath from Crinos to the Realm of Sands. He has learned from his mother's death, though. That to be strong you must despise all until they prove you otherwise, wrong. You must consider all enemies until they prove worthy of friendship.
Saltare'necar also practices his other passions often. Singing and dancing. It is not unheard of to hear a soft and gentle voice echoing throughout the mountains, nor to see the form of a lithe man moving gracefully at the waters of Luna's Tear. For though Saltare is a harsh and judgemental Verdimm, he is also at peace with himself.
He is presumed to be deceased, though his body has not been recovered. One day he simply never returned from one of his typical forays with his Favored; his Favored were later found killed, every one, the manner of their deaths suggesting they met their ends at the hands of another Verdimm.
