Flectivi was typical of his kind, in body and nature: His coloring was jade green and dull black, mixed with a bit of silver, and his temperament was black and dark, quick to anger and even quicker to destroy. He came from the far northlands, down into Luna's Tear, despoiling the land as he traveled. The Brusticai and Harcolin, along with some of the Venator, fought him and moved him southwards. Although the various tribes did not join completely together to battle him, and used only harassment attacks, Flectivi became annoyed enough to move southwards, into the Sha'Dir Plain, where the Kei, Alkari, Deicus, and Venator fought together (though not at full strength), confronting the Serpens and wounding him, forcing him to move south into the swamp. The tribes did not pursue, however, being too weakened by their assault. Flectivi hurried through the swamp, perhaps not finding the terrain to his liking, perhaps fearing that the tribes would pursue.
Flectivi arrived within the jungle, and settled down quickly to lick his wounds. Unfortunately for him, the nearby tribes did not give him a chance to do so, after he made the mistake of slaughtering a few jungle-dwelling Verdimm indiscriminately.
A few members of the Mokh tribe, and a large fighting force comprised of tribes Ursum, Terfin, Lemesech, Ekli'in, Verachka, and Tenebrae fought with Flectivi at the northern end of the jungle, wounding him mightily and causing him to flee southwards into the jungle. The Tenebrae, alone, finished him off in the confines of the jungle, as he had blundered deep into their territory. Though never admitting the numbers of their dead, it was apparent afterwards that the Tenebrae suffered huge losses.
This ocassion marked the first time in known history that a Serpens had been successfully attacked and killed by Verdimm. The experience had been so dramatic and caused the upheavel (and deaths) of so many Verdimm, that they began a new calender from the day the Serpens died. This was the season 0 of Flectivi-Kill. None alive remember this day, save perhaps the Serpens... who might or might not care enough to avenge it.
